The Apprentice has long been shrouded in controversy, even before the cameras started rolling. Not just on set arguments with cast and crew sparring about their creative differences. There was a time when it seemed that its distribution wasn’t assured.
Starring Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn and Sebastian Stan as a youthful Donald Trump, long before he became president, and written by Gabriel Sherman, The Apprentice has been predictably accused of election interference and legal threats by Trump’s supporters after its screening at Cannes. To date, no lawsuits have been filed.
After some volleying of various messy and drawn out offers between Briarcliff Entertainment and Kinematics, the former distributor won out.
Screenwriter Gabriel Sherman, veteran writer for Vanity Fair and writer of The Loudest Voice, finally sees his latest opus hit the screens.
He assures that The Apprentice is underpinned by meticulous research which focuses on unique Trump’s relationship with Cohn during the 70s and 80s.

So glad that they got this to come out before the election. These truths need to be told and people need to know the background and the motor opera and eye of Trump. I hope enough people will see it. Thank you for posting.
