Universal Pictures has been wanting to remake the 1941 horror classic The Wolf Man for years as part of their expanded monster universe remit.
From the man who brought you Saw and The Invisible Man, Leigh Whannell co-writes and directs this sobering take on the werewolf genre. There’s less gore and more drama. Lycanthropy lore is referred to as a sickness causing wolf fever.
Rather than going full throttle body horror, Wolf Man focuses on a family in distress, parenthood, and generational trauma.
